IT Home reported on July 30 that Google released the Android 15 Beta 4.1 update today, which is open to Pixel devices participating in the Android Beta program. All eligible Pixel devices starting with Pixel 6 and 6 Pro can be upgraded. This update is relatively small in scale and mainly fixes the audio crash problem during calls on Pixel devices.Given the small scale of this update, it is speculated that the official version of Android 15 may be released soon.

IT Home noticed that the version number of this update is AP31.240617.010 and includes the July 2024 security patch. The update log shows that this fixes multiple issues that caused audio crashes during calls. However, other issues found in Beta 4 have not yet been resolved in version 4.1.

Eligible devices will receive the Android 15 Beta 4.1 update over the air. Users can go to Settings > System > Software update > System update > Check for updates to see if there is an update available. If no update is found, please confirm that the device has joined the Android Beta program and is eligible for the update.

Although Google has not yet announced the release date of the official version of Android 15, considering that the scale of this update is small and there are only two weeks left until Google's annual hardware conference "Made by Google", it is widely speculated that the official version of the system may be released at the event.
