"The Beidou Cloud Workbench has achieved 100% autonomous control, covering the work needs of the entire value chain, system, process, and positions of the enterprise. Currently, 23,000 business units of FAW have achieved online operations, product development efficiency has increased by 30%, and order delivery cycle has been shortened by more than 25%." On July 17, Qiu Xiandong, Chairman and Party Secretary of China First Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China FAW), used a series of data to illustrate the changes that the Beidou Cloud platform has brought to the enterprise at the Beidou Cloud Workbench product launch conference.

Beidou Cloud Workbench is an enterprise framework system built by China FAW over three years, which accelerates the digital transformation of the enterprise and builds a "Digital FAW". Its products cover seven major business chains, including R&D, products, production, marketing, human resources, finance, and management and control. The goal is to achieve "double 100", 100% business digital twins, and a minimum 100% increase in operational efficiency.

Wang Xiaoliang, deputy director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, said at the press conference that in the process of digital transformation, China FAW has embarked on its own path of exploration, practice and characteristics. In recent years, the digital management system of central enterprises has been continuously improved, the level of production and operation planning has been comprehensively improved, and the innovation capacity of the digital economy has been significantly enhanced. In the first half of the year, the SASAC also made a comprehensive analysis of the achievements of central enterprises in management, R&D, and service digitalization in 2023.

Since 2021, FAW has taken digital transformation as an important corporate strategy and continuously promoted business transformation. Regarding the changes that the Beidou Cloud platform has brought to the company, Men Xin, a product architect of FAW, introduced at the press conference that when a new model is added to the production line, it will involve nearly 2,000 parts and 300 workstations. Through the Beidou Cloud platform, the time required for logistics planning can be compressed from 4 months to 4 hours; in terms of supply chain risk management, the Beidou Cloud platform can build a more comprehensive supply chain risk control model. If the upstream chip factory stops production due to natural disasters, the model can lock the affected companies in real time within a few seconds and penetrate the supply chain at all levels step by step; the Beidou Cloud workbench can integrate supply chain data resources, use supply chain data to increase the credit of upstream and downstream companies, improve the credit level of enterprises, and help suppliers reduce financing costs.

Qiu Xian, Chairman and Party Secretary of China FAW, said that the original purpose of China FAW's decision to make digital transformation was to improve the digitalization and efficiency of its business. Through digital transformation, the efficiency and benefits of enterprise management have been greatly improved; business processes have been continuously optimized, and 58% of process documents have been optimized compared to before. The management of all businesses has achieved real-time control, and the production of each business can be operated efficiently and accurately. In the future, China FAW will also adhere to value-oriented, intelligent-oriented, and ecological-oriented, and continue to promote the iterative evolution of the Beidou Cloud Workbench.
