Tina GarrettTina Garrett (1974-) is a well-known female artist in the contemporary Western art world. Her works are centered on emotions and moods, and often include dramatic lighting or atmospheric effects. Her works often have an indescribable resonance, which is haunting and mysterious.


Tina has been awarded the title of Art Renaissance Center Living Master (ARCLM), holds the Art Master designation from the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Association, the Signature designation from the Portrait Society of America, is a long-time mentor in the Portrait Society of America Cecilia Bo Forum Mentoring Program, is a faculty member at the Portraiture Art Annual Conference, and is a faculty member at the Oil Painters of America National Exhibition. Tina provides instruction and conducts more than a dozen workshops around the world each year.


Born in San Diego, California, USA in 1974, Tina moved to the Kansas City area with her military family in 1988. Since beginning her art journey in 2012, she has won three ARC Salon Purchase Awards; Western Women Artists National Exhibition (Best of Show) and First Place; Oil Painters of America Online Showcase First and Third Place; Portrait Society of America Select 50 and Seventh Honor Award; National Association of Oil and Acrylic Painters Award of Excellence, Second Place, People's Choice and Most Innovative; and Artist International magazine People Award and nearly 100 other honors and awards.


Tina’s work has been shown around the world, including the ARC Salon at Sotheby’s in New York, Mod Portrait at the Museo Europeano d’Art Moderne (MEAM) in Barcelona, ​​Spain, the Salmagundi Club in New York, and MEAM; the National Exhibition of Oil Painters of America; the American Society of Portrait Artists Members’ Exhibition; American Women Artists Making Their Mark at the Booth Western Art Museum; the National Exhibition of Western Women Artists at the Western Art Museum; American Miniature at Settlers West Gallery in Tucson, Arizona; Urban Aspect at Principle Gallery; and Go Wild at Gormley Gallery.


Tina’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Art Renewal Center and the Museum of Western Art, and she has a growing list of private collectors and commissions.

For Tina, "the greatest gift I receive is when someone falls in love with my work so much that they just have to have it, take it home and make it part of their everyday life. I really put a lot of love into each piece, so to love it and give it a home is the highest compliment I can ever receive".
