To implement the "dual carbon" deployment, Guangdong is accelerating the development of integrated photovoltaic storage and charging projects

Achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality is a broad and profound systemic change in the economic and social system. We must actively and steadily promote carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and implement carbon peak actions in a planned and step-by-step manner.Accelerating the development of integrated photovoltaic, storage and charging projects is an important measure for Guangdong Province to fully implement the central government’s “dual carbon” series of deployments, the provincial party committee’s “1310” specific deployment and the manufacturing industry’s leading strategy.

Data shows that as of June this year, the installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power in Guangdong Province has reached 50 million kilowatts, of which the distributed installed capacity exceeds 20 million, five times that at the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan; the installed capacity of offshore wind power has exceeded 10 million kilowatts, achieving leapfrog development; the installed capacity of new energy storage has reached 2.7 million kilowatts, and the average operating time and utilization rate of new energy storage rank first in the country; there are more than 490,000 public charging piles for new energy vehicles and more than 610,000 private charging piles. The number of charging piles and the charging power are both the highest in the country.

Focusing on Dongguan, in 2023, the city's concentrated revenue from new energy industries reached 74.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of more than 9%; in the past two years, the city has added more than 500,000 kilowatts of rooftop photovoltaics, and a total of 1.52 million kilowatts have been built, completing the "14th Five-Year Plan" construction goals ahead of schedule; more than 300 new public charging stations and more than 5,000 public charging piles have been added.

Liu Guangbin, member of the Standing Committee of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee of Guangdong Province, deputy mayor of the municipal government, and member of the party group, particularly emphasized that the development of new energy storage has been accelerated. Huawei Digital Energy has continuously created new demonstration projects for many local enterprises, parks, and application scenarios, promoting the new energy industry cluster to accelerate to the hundreds of billions level.

At the meeting, Mai Weilin, deputy director of the Dongguan Investment Promotion Bureau, emphasized in his keynote speech on "Jointly Promoting Industrial Low-carbon Transformation and Drawing Dongguan's Green Future" that Dongguan, as an international manufacturing city, is actively responding to the country's "dual carbon" strategy and working with leading companies such as Huawei Digital Energy to vigorously promote green and low-carbon transformation. With its strong industrial foundation, broad market prospects and a series of support policies for green and low-carbon industries, Dongguan has become an ideal choice for companies to deploy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The integration of photovoltaic, storage and charging enables the park to transform from an electricity consumer to a "prosumer".

Facing the "new era of low-carbon parks", Huawei Digital Energy has taken the lead in integrating the digital technologies accumulated over 30 years with innovative photovoltaic, energy storage, charging, and thermal management technologies to create a one-stop "optimal light, storage, charging, network, and cloud" industry green electricity solution to help thousands of industries achieve green and low-carbon transformation.

Hou Jinlong, Huawei Director and President of Huawei Digital Energy, said in his speech that currently, various industrial enterprises and parks have become the main platforms for local economic development, the gathering places for energy consumption activities, and the main battlefield for the integration of photovoltaic storage and charging scenarios. He also emphasized thatThe integration of photovoltaic, storage and charging has diversified functions and values, allowing every industry, enterprise and park to transform from an electricity consumer to an electricity "producer and consumer".

Li Qionghui, former director of the New Energy and Statistics Institute of the State Grid Energy Research Institute, elaborated in her speech on the key role of the integration of "solar energy storage and charging" in the construction of low-carbon parks and the creation of green value. She said that the rapid development of distributed photovoltaics and the initial formation of a pattern of centralized photovoltaics have created favorable conditions for the integration of "solar energy storage and charging".The integration of "photovoltaic, storage and charging" has brought multiple green values to the low-carbon park, and jointly promoted the transformation of the park towards a low-carbon, efficient and green direction, laying a solid foundation for achieving the "dual carbon" goals and sustainable development.

In recent years, the low-carbonization process of domestic industrial parks has been accelerating, and integrated photovoltaic storage and charging have entered more industrial parks. However, while photovoltaic storage and charging are ubiquitous in industrial parks, they also face many challenges such as system security, synergistic benefits, and full life cycle intelligence. To address these challenges, Huawei has launched the Industry Green Power Solution 2.0, which helps customers complete the design, management, and operation of solutions by deploying optimized photovoltaic storage and charging combined with software products. At the same time, it cooperates with solution partners to expand the boundaries of solutions and better meet customers' customized needs in different scenarios.

Zhong Mingming, President of Huawei Digital Energy's Industrial and Commercial Smart Photovoltaic Business, introduced that Huawei has released a one-stop solution for industry and commerce, "Optimal Photovoltaic Storage, Charging, Network and Cloud".
