When the dynasty came to an end, the women in the harem were undoubtedly miserable. No matter how beautiful they were, they were eventually swept away by the torrent of history and could not be happy. The last empress of the Qing Dynasty, the last person to enjoy the etiquette of the empress, was Wanrong. Puyi married the last empress Wanrong with the etiquette of the empress. Wanrong was dignified and beautiful in her student days, and she was proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting.

Wanrong, relying on the generous treatment given by the Nationalist government, lived a "shopping, buying, buying" life that many people envied. She often bought whatever she liked in the capital and never worried about money.

Similarly, Queen Nam Phuong, who married into the royal family, was also very satisfied with her life at first. The emperor was very infatuated with her. Queen Nam Phuong, who had studied in France and was a French Catholic, also had the support of the French in the court.

After meeting with Prince Chichibu, Wanrong walked out of the Qinmin Hall. Following behind her, holding large medals in their hands were Puyi's second and third sisters.

Wanrong has a cheerful and naughty personality.

In 1924, Feng Yuxiang launched the "Beijing coup". On November 5, Puyi was expelled from the Forbidden City, and Wanrong also left the palace.

In the photos taken with the people around her, Wanrong still looks noble and beautiful.

On March 1, 1934, Wanrong was canonized as the Empress of the Manchu Empire.

In August 1945, the Soviet Union quickly occupied Manchuria in the "August Storm" operation. Wanrong and her entourage retreated from Xinjing to Dalizigou in Tonghua. She was later captured and transported to Tonghua, Changchun, Yongji, Dunhua, and Yanji. She died in a prison in Yanji, Jilin Province around June 10, 1946 (see Saga Hiro's memoirs) or in late August (according to newspaper records at the time).
