A new rumor suggests that Apple's entry-level iPhone SE may be significantly redesigned for its fourth iteration, and the price will also increase. The iPhone SE is known for its affordability and is currently the only model suitable for those who still prefer Touch ID to Face ID. However, the latest rumor from leaker iIce Universe, who has a good track record, claims that this is about to change.

The new model will feature a 6.06-inch OLED edge-to-edge screen with a Face ID notch, marking the end of Touch ID on the iPhone, which means the design is expected to be similar to that of the iPhone 14.

The iPhone SE 4 will have Apple's A18 chip and either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Like its predecessor, it will have just one camera, but with a 48-megapixel camera compared to the 12-megapixel camera on the third-generation iPhone SE.

With an upgrade like this, it’s no surprise that the leaker says the price will also go up, with the iPhone SE 3 currently selling for $429 for a 64GB model. The upcoming iPhone SE 4 could start at $499 for the base model and go as high as $549 for the model with the most storage.

Recent rumors have suggested that the iPhone SE 4 will adopt a design similar to the iPhone 16 rather than the iPhone 14. It is unclear whether the rumor suggests that the iPhone SE 4 will be released at the same time as the iPhone 16.

The post on Weibo claims that the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be released in spring 2025.
