Reporters learned from the Second Licensing Ecosystem Conference of Bilibili (B Station) that in the past six years, the total number of authorized IPs of B Station has accumulated to nearly 200, with a total of more than 1,600 authorizations. The scale of authorization is moving from a 10 billion yuan market to a 100 billion yuan market.

Bilibili Vice President Zhang Shengyan said that from 2019 to date, the total number of authorized IPs of Bilibili has accumulated to nearly 200, including domestic creations, comics, Japanese animations, virtual artists, documentaries, live-action films and television, brand images, etc.; the number of cooperative brands exceeds 500, and the categories cover daily chemicals, catering, 3C digital, games, automobiles and other dimensions of food, clothing, housing and transportation. Starting from domestic creation, Bilibili has achieved full coverage of IP categories, and has also achieved breakthroughs in many emerging fields such as the combination of documentaries and catering, virtual artists, and brand image IP. At present, Bilibili has formed a complete industrial chain integrating content creation and production, in-depth fan operations, and diversified development of products and activities. It has both the scale advantage of comprehensive coverage and the deep characteristics of vertical users, and can embrace new market opportunities with the hard power of its business.

Bilibili started to introduce authentic anime series in 2013 and has now become the largest Japanese animation broadcasting platform in China. Not only does it have more than 2,100 popular anime series that continue to be broadcast, but it also introduces a steady number of new series every quarter. In addition, Bilibili has a group of users who understand anime best and the most active UGC community. It is hoped that in the future, more high-quality anime series will be able to reflect their long-tail commercial value in more forms in addition to regular broadcasts in China.
