According to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff on the 19th local time, the South Korean military continued to broadcast loudspeakers to North Korea in the North Korea-ROK border area that afternoon in response to North Korea's release of balloons containing pollutants into South Korea.


South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that morning that as of 9 a.m., the South Korean military had found more than 200 balloons carrying pollutants released by North Korea, of which more than 40 had fallen.
