According to the WeChat public account "Kancaibang" of Hunan Daily, recently, with the approval of the People's Government of Hunan Province, Hunan Sunshine Huatian Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. was renamed Hunan Tourism Development Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Hunan Light Industry Salt Group Co., Ltd. was renamed Hunan Salt Group Co., Ltd.

This is another move by Hunan Province to push state-owned enterprises to further focus on their main responsibilities and deepen their main businesses. After the name change, the corporate brand image is more distinct. Next, the Hunan Mineral Resources Group will be established and listed.

Tourism groups increasing their "investment"

The tourism group was listed in July 2022 and positioned as a large-scale hotel and tourism enterprise under provincial management. It was entrusted by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government with the important mission of being the "chain leader" of Hunan's cultural and tourism industry.

Taking stock of the tourism group, it has the temperament of an "excellent student" in culture and tourism.

First of all, the hotel brand is well-known. It has Huatian Group and Sunshine Group, and currently operates 81 hotels with 17,183 guest rooms. Among them, Huatian Group has been in continuous operation for 36 years. It is the first five-star hotel in Hunan and the fourth listed hotel and tourism company in China.

Its Xiang Embroidery Research Institute and Hunan Arts and Crafts Institute have profound cultural heritage. Its Shaoshan Tourism Group operates the Shaoshan Scenic Area, one of Hunan's "five business cards" and the "classic red" business card. Its Sanxiang Group, located in Hong Kong, serves as a window for the provincial party committee and government in Hong Kong.

It is worth mentioning that the newly established Hunan Convention and Exhibition Group is making every effort to build a leading Hunan convention and exhibition enterprise.

Currently, the Tourism Group has 84 wholly-owned and holding subsidiaries. The addition of the word "investment" in this name change is of extraordinary significance. The platform support for the "investment and financing" business will be amplified, which is of great significance to the integration of Hunan's tourism resources and the leadership of the tourism industry.

Hunan Salt Industry: "Salt as the Axis"

Before 2002, Hunan Light Industry Group and its subordinate Hunan Salt Group Corporation merged to form Hunan Light Industry and Salt Group Co., Ltd., and "Hunan Light Salt" took 22 years.

Hunan Light Salt currently has 11 first-level subsidiaries and 9 production bases, making it one of the largest comprehensive salt enterprise groups in China. Among them, Xuetian Salt is known as the "first stock in China's salt reform", and the brand value of "Xuetian" is 10.435 billion yuan.

The core businesses are salt, salt chemicals and salt-related foods; emerging industries include salt and new energy and new materials.

With this name change to Hunan Salt Industry Group, the "salt-as-axis" pattern has become increasingly clear.

Provincial Mineral Resources Group is about to be listed

In order to build a trillion-dollar mining cluster, Hunan Province has established a Provincial Mineral Resources Group, which will be listed this year.

Hunan Mineral Resources Group was established with Hunan Nonferrous Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd. as its main body. It undertakes the functional tasks of controlling and reserving the province's strategic and advantageous mineral resources, and becomes the "chain leader" of the industrial chain of gold, antimony, silver, lead, zinc and rare metals.
