According to a report from Fast Technology on July 18, blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 terminals will be unveiled from the end of October. Its CPU main frequency has exceeded 4GHz, and its actual performance has exceeded that of its competitor Dimensity 9400. This will be the most powerful mobile phone chip in the Android camp.

Compared with Snapdragon 8 Gen3, the biggest change of Snapdragon 8 Gen4 is that it abandons the Arm public version architecture and adopts the self-developed Nuvia Phoenix architecture solution. This new CPU architecture originates from Nuvia, a chip startup acquired by Qualcomm in 2021.

According to the test results of the Geekbench 6 benchmark software, the multi-core score of Snapdragon 8 Gen4 exceeded 10,000 points, leading the industry in performance.

In terms of technology, the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 will be built based on TSMC's 3nm process, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 uses TSMC's N3E rather than N3B process. In comparison, the former has higher process performance and yield at a lower cost. This is also Qualcomm's first 3nm mobile phone chip.

As usual, models such as the Xiaomi 15 series, iQOO 13, Redmi K80 series, OnePlus 13, and Realme GT7 Pro will be the first to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen4.
