According to analysis by Mobilegamer.biz, the sales of Resident Evil 7 on the iOS platform do not seem to be optimistic. According to Appfigures estimates, the game has been downloaded just over 83,000 times since its release in July. And please note that after downloading, players need to pay £20/$20 to unlock the full game content.

According to Appfigures, Capcom earned $28,140 from the game, a figure that does not include the 30% fee taken by Apple's platform.

According to Mobilegamer: "Even with generous rounding, there are fewer than 2,000 paying subscribers."

In June, reports surfaced that mobile ports of games like Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: Village, Death Stranding, and Assassin's Creed: Phantasm were experiencing similarly slow sales. At the time, Appmagic content head Andrei Zubov told Mobilegamer.biz that he didn't see a positive outlook for gamers buying console games on Apple devices.

"Looking at the best performing mobile premium games, we can see that many are original indie titles," he said. "These games often have simple controls, focus on unique art styles rather than high-end graphics, and are suitable for shorter play sessions."

"These are often the hallmarks of successful free-to-play games," he added, noting that the audience for these games is likely to already own a modern console that can play them.

Currently, Resident Evil 7 costs $20/£20 on mobile platforms. On PlayStation 4, players can buy a version with all DLC for £13.99. At the same time, for players who own Sony PS5, they can also upgrade the game for free.
