The attacker was described as a male, about 180 to 190 centimeters tall, wearing light-colored pants and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, carrying a red backpack and wearing yellow-green gloves. In order to find the man who attacked Cameron, the police dispatched a police helicopter, a federal police patrol and several dog officers to search for the man. At the same time, the police also dispatched divers to search for evidence in the relevant area on the shore of Lake Ammer, but the man has not been found so far.

Due to investigative strategy, the police have not yet provided details about the motive for the murder, the tools involved or the fatal wounds. The Munich forensic doctor has conducted an autopsy on the deceased.

Police added there was no indication of a wider threat to the public. German police said in a statement that witnesses who were in the Mühlfeld district on Friday night or who have information about the fugitives are asked to contact the region's criminal investigation unit as soon as possible.
