it house news on october 7th, today a russian youtuber wylsacom released a video, claiming that this is the first unboxing video showing the 14-inch macbook pro equipped with the m4 chip. the video also revealed the first benchmarks of the m4 mac test results.

the video shows the complete unboxing process of the m4 macbook pro. the box is consistent with the box exposed last month, and shows that the device is equipped with 512gb of storage space, 16gb of memory, three thunderbolt 4 ports, one hdmi port, one sd card slot and magsafe magnetic charging interface. according to the specifications on the box, the m4 chip has a 10-core cpu and a 10-core gpu, which is an upgrade from the m3 chip's 8-core cpu.

it's worth noting that the current m3 macbook pro only comes with two thunderbolt 4 ports and 8gb of memory. the leak suggests that the base model of the m4 macbook pro will add a thunderbolt 4 port and double its memory capacity. bloomberg has previously predicted that the m4 mac series may be equipped with 16gb of memory for the first time.

wylsacom also conducted a geekbench test on the m4 macbook pro. the test results showed that the m4 macbook pro had a single-core score of 3864 and a multi-core score of 15288. by comparison, the m3 macbook pro's single-core score is typically around 3,000 and its multi-core score is around 11,800.

it house needs to point out that the authenticity of this leaked information is not yet certain. bloomberg previously reported that apple’s first batch of m4 macs are scheduled to be released at the end of october and will be officially launched on november 1.
