from september 27th to 28th, the 6th chinese medical humanities conference and the 6th confucian culture and medical humanities conference were held in jinan. the conference was co-sponsored by the chinese medical doctor association, the shandong medical doctor association, the humanistic medicine professional committee of the chinese medical doctor association and the magazine "chinese medical humanities". focusing on the theme of "carrying forward the humanistic spirit and promoting high-quality development of hospitals", we are committed to exploring the goal path of medical humanities development in the new era and promoting the construction of a new pattern of medical humanities education.
at the meeting, wu xiangtian, deputy director of the national health commission, shi shengfeng, vice president of the chinese medical doctor association, zhou hui, party secretary of the china federation of social work, sun hongjun, vice president of the chinese medical doctor association and president of the shandong medical doctors association, as well as the chinese academy of engineering academicians ge junbo, wang jianan and many other leading figures in the medical field attended the opening ceremony.
sun hongjun said that the 460,000 doctors in shandong province should be committed to promoting the deep integration of confucian culture and medical humanities, promoting the high-quality development of medical humanistic spirit, and playing the strongest voice of medical humanities.
focusing on themes such as "life is only once: talking about innovation from the history of medicine", "my view of medical humanism", "humanistic hospital construction", "traditional culture and medicine" and "let the light of humanity shine on the path forward for medicine", academician ge junbo and wang jian'an geng qingshan, academician and president of shenzhen people's hospital, liu changyun, doctoral supervisor and senior editor, yao jianhong, chairman of the humanistic medicine professional committee of the chinese medical doctor association and deputy general manager of china general technology group, etc. gave keynote speeches, revealing the humanistic connotation of medicine from a unique perspective. the conference also set up five parallel forums on medical humanities, century-old famous hospitals, hospital culture construction and scholarly hospitals, palliative care and life culture, and medical professionalism, bringing diversified perspectives and choices to participants.
before the conference, articles, photography, cultural and creative works and other artistic works were widely collected. after strict screening and review by an expert jury, some outstanding works were exhibited at the conference. at the meeting, certificates for outstanding essays and collection certificates from the chinese medical humanities museum were awarded.
