on september 28, zhu chenggang, a radiology doctor at wuxi hongqiao hospital who reported the incident, exclusively disclosed to the paper (www.thepaper.cn) that the manual registration records for radiology imaging examinations that are of public concern have not actually been destroyed and hiding means that the director of the radiology imaging department stored it in other places in advance to eliminate internal interference and protect the evidence before the investigation team moved in.

"after the incident, our director also went to cooperate with the police investigation. as far as i know, he has provided the manual registration record book to the relevant departments." zhu chenggang told reporters that he had repeatedly reported to the relevant departments of wuxi city that wuxi hongqiao hospital was suspected of fraud. in order to provide relevant evidence, he also kept a copy of the ct manual inspection record book in april 2023, which he has always stored in a drawer in his office. the time span and inspection content covered by the record transferred by the director should be more comprehensive.

on september 23, the unannounced inspection team dispatched by the national medical insurance administration stationed in wuxi hongqiao hospital to conduct a special unannounced inspection. according to cctv news, when the inspection team asked the hospital to issue a manual registration record for imaging examination that day, the manual registration record that could prove whether the patient had actually undergone imaging examination disappeared.

zhu chenggang told the paper that after the incident, the flight investigation team sent by the national medical insurance administration had interviewed him face to face about the details of the previous report. zhu chenggang said that after the incident attracted public attention, the relevant departments also provided him with necessary protection. the investigation is still ongoing and he will consider leaving wuxi temporarily.
