the reporter noticed that many taobao merchants are already using jd.com’s express logistics services. but what attracts more attention from the outside world is that jd.com and alipay have joined hands again after 13 years. according to reports, jd.com will officially connect to alipay on the eve of double eleven this year.

when the two parties announced the expiration of the cooperation in august 2011, liu qiangdong, chairman of jd.com’s board of directors, revealed that the cessation of cooperation had nothing to do with the competition between jd.com and taobao, but that alipay’s rates were too high. “every year we have to pay because of alipay’s rates. pay an extra 5 to 6 million yuan." at that time, liu qiangdong also admitted that about 80% of jd logistics was paid on delivery, and a small number of online payments could be completed using unionpay. stopping cooperation with alipay would not have any impact.
