hu xueming, born in august 1959, is from tuanfeng, hubei province. he is a member of the communist party of china. he participated in the border war in 1979 and graduated from tuanfeng middle school. he is both a senior and a veteran. when the veteran hu xueming appeared in front of the podium, the students participating in the military training applauded loudly and warmly.
hu xueming shared his glorious years of participating in the border war in simple words. "the conditions were tough at that time. when the soldiers were hungry, they dug bamboo roots to fill their stomachs. when they were cold, they kept warm by leaning back to back. everyone lived in cat-ear caves and was often bitten by leeches and mosquitoes. but no one backed down. the soldiers went all out without hesitation, and practiced their original intention and loyalty to the party, the country, and the people with their actions."
