lin jian introduced that on september 25, local time, a high-level meeting on international cooperation in ai capacity building co-hosted by china and zambia was held at the united nations headquarters in new york. wang yi, member of the political bureau of the cpc central committee and foreign minister, attended and delivered a speech. serbian president vucic, indonesian coordinating minister luhut and senior representatives from more than 80 countries and international organizations attended the meeting. all parties exchanged in-depth views on strengthening international cooperation in ai capacity building and reached a broad consensus. the "inclusive plan for ai capacity building" proposed by china has received active support and response from all parties.
he pointed out that the inclusive plan aims to bridge the intelligence gap and promote the implementation of the united nations 2030 agenda for sustainable development. it puts forward five major visions for cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence infrastructure, industry empowerment, talent training, data construction, and security governance that all parties, especially the global south, expect, and clarifies the 10 actions that china will take, including promoting the interconnection of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, carrying out cooperation in model development and application corpus construction, strengthening artificial intelligence strategic docking and policy exchanges, and actively sharing technical practices. china will hold 10 training and seminar programs in the field of artificial intelligence for developing countries by the end of 2025. in order to promote the implementation of the inclusive plan, china also proposed the establishment of a friends of international cooperation group on artificial intelligence capacity building.
lin jian said that this year, china has successively promoted the adoption of the un general assembly resolution on international cooperation in ai capacity building, held the 2024 world artificial intelligence conference and the high-level meeting on global governance of ai, and the first ai capacity building seminar. the inclusive plan proposed this time is consistent with the above-mentioned actions, fully demonstrating china's leading role in the global governance of ai development. we are willing to work with the international community to effectively promote the implementation of the inclusive plan, promote countries to share the benefits of intelligence, and jointly move towards a better intelligent future.
