it is reported that the deck cargo ship "green source no. 1" has a gross tonnage of 6,731, a net tonnage of 3,769, and a length of 125.8 meters. the ship was purchased and registered by qiongzhou strait (hainan) ferry transport co., ltd. after the transformation is completed, it will be used for the transportation of new energy vehicles in the qiongzhou strait. it is the first deck cargo ship dedicated to the transportation of new energy vehicles in the qiongzhou strait. it is expected that a single voyage can carry more than 160 new energy vehicles.

after the ship is put into operation, it will add a new mode of maritime transportation for new energy vehicles in the qiongzhou strait, and will also effectively alleviate the tense situation of insufficient cross-sea transportation capacity for new energy vehicles in the qiongzhou strait during the peak period of cross-sea vehicle transportation.

during the ship registration work, the haikou maritime safety administration promptly tracked and understood the implementation plan of the passenger and vehicle transport companies, took the initiative to provide services, and arranged special personnel to connect with the companies to provide registration business guidance for special transport ships for new energy vehicles, provided the ship with pre-examination materials and acceptance services with missing documents, and efficiently completed the ship ownership registration, ship nationality registration and issuance of the ship's minimum safe manning certificate for the "green source no. 1". the completion time was shortened from 14 working days to 2 working days, which greatly reduced the cost of ship certification and helped the "green source no. 1" to be put into operation as soon as possible.
