on the afternoon of september 25, the first performance of the 7th pedestrian crossing courtesy square dance competition, jointly organized by the capital civilization office, the municipal transportation committee, the municipal public security traffic management bureau, and the municipal youth league committee, officially kicked off at kangzhuang park in daxing district. ten teams from five districts, including fengtai, shijingshan, fangshan, changping, and daxing, made friends through dancing, vividly demonstrating the positive spirit of the capital's citizens.
the children of the xinlongchengyuan dance team of beijing dandilan kindergarten in huilongguan street, changping district, performed "i love zebra crossing" with a cheerful rhythm, interpreting the importance of traffic safety with childlike choreography. the dance team of junyi community in pingguoyuan street, shijingshan district, performed "waiting for the light", which incorporated situational drama into the dance work to arouse people's awe of life safety. the dance teams took turns to perform on stage and show their skills, actively conveying the concept of courtesy and order, and creating a good social atmosphere for further promoting the special action of "civilized driving and courtesy to pedestrians".
it is reported that since the launch of this competition in july 2024, a total of 409 square dance works have been collected. after strict screening and selection,30 outstanding works have stood out and entered the on-site performance stage. next, the competition will hold two more performances, and finally the first, second and third prizes will be decided based on the three performances and the final review by the expert review group. the works will be displayed in the city's media at an appropriate time.
