the china international aviation and aerospace exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "china airshow") is the only international professional aviation and aerospace exhibition approved by the state council in my country. it mainly includes physical displays, trade negotiations, academic exchanges, flight performances, and water and land demonstrations. since 1996, it has been successfully held for 14 sessions and has now become one of the top five air shows in the world.
the 15th china airshow will be held in zhuhai, guangdong province from november 12 to 17 this year. on the morning of september 25, the press conference for the 15th china airshow was held in beijing.

it is reported that this air show will actively expand the four major platform functions of the air show, namely "international exchange and global cooperation", "high-end manufacturing", "integration of hong kong and macao into the overall national development", and "popular science education and patriotism education". it will benchmark against the world's first-class air shows and carefully prepare for a blue sky event with richer content, more exciting activities, stronger guarantees, and more convenient visits.
the space scale of this year's air show has doubled, the exhibitions are full of highlights, the air show activities are rich and professional, and the service guarantee has been upgraded.
among them, this year's air show implemented the "five major projects" of venue optimization and improvement. the air show space was increased from 100,000 square meters in the previous session to 450,000 square meters. two new exhibition halls were built, and a total of 13 exhibition halls will be used, with an indoor exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. among them, in order to comply with the rapid development trend of unmanned systems, the china air show uav and unmanned boat demonstration area (doumen lianzhou) was opened for the first time, covering an area of about 330,000 square meters; the jinfengtai viewing area was newly expanded, greatly expanding the space for watching flight performances.
there will be a 4-hour flight show every day.
according to reports, this year's air show attracted more than 890 companies from 47 countries and regions. among them, russia, france, the united states, saudi arabia, and italy will participate in the exhibition as a group. world-renowned aviation companies such as boeing, airbus, honeywell, embraer, safran, and thales will all participate in the exhibition. there are 149 overseas exhibitors, an increase of 91% over the previous air show.
in terms of static displays, this air show has set up seven major theme exhibition areas (pavilions), including the low-altitude economy hall, commercial aircraft industry hall, civil aviation industry exhibition area, commercial space exhibition area, new materials and applications exhibition area, achievement transformation exhibition area, and provincial and municipal exhibition groups exhibition area. the exhibits cover all dimensions of "land, sea, air, space, electricity, and the internet", and a group of "high, precise, and cutting-edge" exhibits representing the world's advanced level are collectively on display.
at the same time, the member units of the organizing committee will bring more new exhibits, new technologies and new achievements to participate in the exhibition on a large scale. some exhibits will be "first exhibited and first shown", fully displaying the innovative achievements in my country's aerospace and defense fields.
in terms of dynamic demonstrations, this air show will present a new pattern of dynamic demonstrations integrating "air, space, sea and land". the performance forms and contents of "manned + unmanned", "on-site + remote", and "land + sea" will be renewed and upgraded, striving to bring shocking sensory impact to the audience.
in terms of flight performances, chinese and foreign aircraft will perform together and dazzle the blue sky, with a flight performance of about 4 hours every day. the scene layout of the ground equipment dynamic demonstration area has been continuously optimized, highlighting the display effects of aerial drones, firepower strikes, armored assaults, etc. on the basis of previous sessions, creating a demonstration scene that is closer to actual combat and better demonstrates the level of intelligent application of equipment.
the doumen lianzhou uav and unmanned boat demonstration area uses an innovative method that combines "indoor + outdoor", "static + dynamic" and "air + water" to conduct panoramic exhibitions of drones, unmanned boats and unmanned systems.
zhuhai plans to hold hong kong-zhuhai-macao bridge marathon before and after the air show
"although the air show only lasts for six days, we want to make the excitement of the air show reflected in zhuhai every day, so that more exhibitors, enterprises and visitors can realize their dreams." zhuhai mayor huang zhihao said that zhuhai will create a "never-ending air show." after the six-day air show, some of the fine works will be left in the new zhuhai space center.
the new zhuhai space center has a total area of 76,000 square meters, of which 35,000 square meters are exhibition areas. it will be officially opened on september 25. the "treasure of the town" of the zhuhai space center is the 1:1 "t"-shaped display cabin of the chinese space station.
at the same time, before and after this china airshow, zhuhai will also hold air show carnival activities, including the hong kong-zhuhai-macao bridge marathon, zhuhai art festival, zhuhai-macao university student football championship, the 13th china innovation and entrepreneurship competition low-altitude economy field professional competition, guangdong province uav application technology vocational competition, zhuhai uav flight control invitational, zhuhai international dexterous operation challenge, etc. through the "air show +" series of activities, zhuhai will be built into a sea of joy.
