a relevant official from the national development and reform commission said that large-scale equipment upgrades and trade-in of old consumer goods have effectively promoted investment, consumption and industrial development.
in the first eight months, my country's investment in equipment and tools increased by 16.8% year-on-year, contributing 64.2% to the growth of total investment; the national investment in equipment manufacturing, consumer goods manufacturing, and raw materials manufacturing increased by 10%, 14.9%, and 9% year-on-year, respectively.
recently, the national online sales of class 1 energy-efficient refrigerators, washing machines, and gas water heaters increased by 54.6%, 31.8%, and 78.4% year-on-year, respectively; the retail sales of household appliances and audio-visual equipment turned from decline to growth, with sales in august increasing by 3.4% year-on-year.
