liu dechun, director of the department of resource conservation and environmental protection of the national development and reform commission, introduced that the current 150 billion yuan of ultra-long-term special treasury bonds have been allocated to projects in two batches, supporting a total of more than 4,600 projects in the fields of industry, environmental infrastructure, transportation, logistics, education, culture and tourism, medical care, energy-consuming equipment, energy and electricity, old residential elevators, recycling and reuse.

liu dechun said that according to preliminary estimates, the total investment in equipment renewal projects supported by national debt funds this year is nearly 800 billion yuan, which can drive the renewal of more than 2 million units of various equipment and generate energy savings of about 25 million tons of standard coal per year.

liu dechun stressed that promoting a new round of large-scale equipment renewal is not a short-term economic stimulus, but a medium- and long-term measure to consolidate the foundation. on the basis of doing a good job in the construction of projects supported this year, the national development and reform commission will work with relevant departments to guide various regions and relevant central units to continue to strengthen project reserves, plan a batch of high-quality and highly motivated projects as soon as possible, ensure that the financial elements follow the projects, and effectively play the role of national debt funds to support the green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of my country's economy.
