third-grade student zhan xinhao has been climbing for two years. his small body moves lightly on the nearly vertical rock climbing wall, which draws cheers from new members. zhan xinhao won the third place in the speed competition and the second place in the rock climbing competition in the u8 men's group of the 2023 shenzhen children's championship. chen qihang, who is in the second grade this year, has been training for six years. this year, he won the second place in the speed competition of the guangdong provincial rock climbing championship, and the fastest climbing speed reached 6.8 seconds.

rock climbing requires a combination of strength and skills, as well as a collision of wisdom and courage. fan shaoheng introduced that the rock climbing competitions include speed competitions, difficulty competitions and rock climbing competitions. this sport is extremely challenging and has a high failure rate. every climb requires great patience and perseverance. in terms of physical fitness, rock climbing can fully train students' strength, endurance, coordination and flexibility; in terms of psychology, it is conducive to improving students' ability to withstand pressure and frustration, and enhancing their self-confidence.
