the construction of the international talent park will be launched next year
in 2024, chaoyang district will add new ecological greenery, and plans to complete afforestation of about 3,500 mu. at present, the construction of the second phase of the chaoyang section of wenyu river park and chaoping park is being fully promoted, striving to be completed and opened as soon as possible. at the same time, chaoyang district has further improved the "large, medium, small and micro" park green space system, and has built 18 small parks with an area of less than 10 hectares near the people, such as beijiao home urban forest and sanfengli green space. the coverage rate of the 500-meter service radius of park green space is expected to increase to 95%, making green "within reach".
in 2025, chaoyang district plans to start the construction of beijing international talent park and create an ecological leisure space integrating water and green in the northern expansion of electronic city. at the same time, it plans to promote the construction of green land on behalf of dongba north west district, kangcheng garden phase ii, zhonghai wangjing mansion, huangshanmudian village, etc., with a total area of nearly 100 hectares. through measures such as "removing fences and letting in green" and "unbounded opening", the boundaries between the city and the park are broken, and the distance between citizens and the beautiful scenery is shortened. at present, chaoyang district has 68 such unbounded parks with a total area of more than 2,100 hectares, realizing a new park management system of "shared by all people, open all the time, and connected across the region".
all-age-friendly parks that are convenient for "the elderly to enjoy their old age and children to enjoy their childhood" can meet the needs of residents of different ages. since the implementation of the "14th five-year plan", chaoyang district has successfully built 12 all-age-friendly parks such as side park and huangqu park, with a renovation and upgrading area of 42.43 hectares. before this year's national day, the renovated and upgraded ritan park and side park phase ii will be fully open.
440 kilometers of greenways will be interconnected
chaoyang district has fully launched the green belt park quality improvement project. in 2023, 10 suburban parks, including dongba suburban park, beijing forest park, and guta park, have undergone renovation and upgrading. in 2024, six suburban parks, including dongfeng park and eucommia park phase i, are accelerating the implementation of renovation and upgrading. the park upgrade not only fills the gap in service and enriches biodiversity, but also makes these green belt area parks a paradise for citizens to get close to nature and a home for wild animals.
at the same time, chaoyang district continues to promote the construction of tree-lined greenways. on september 21, the first phase of the chaoyang section of the 40-kilometer-long green belt area park ring greenway was officially opened to the public, attracting many cycling enthusiasts to check in. as of now, chaoyang district has built about 310 kilometers of greenways at all levels. after the 18-kilometer waterfront greenway along the liangma river is connected, chaoyang district will also coordinate the construction of water ecological corridors such as the bahe river and beixiao river, integrating the slow-moving system of the waterfront space with the construction of greenways and the governance of the water ecological environment, and jointly draw a new urban ecological landscape of blue and green interweaving.
it is reported that the second phase of the 130-kilometer green belt area park ring greenway will integrate the park green space resources of changying and jinzhan areas into the greenway system on the basis of the first phase, and connect the existing green belt parks and forest green space resources of gaobeidian, shibalidian, wangsiying and other places to the south, initially building the basic framework of the two ring greenways, and connecting with the greenways of tongzhou district and fengtai district. after the completion of the second phase, chaoyang district will realize the interconnection of 440 kilometers of greenways, and use waterfront trails and navigable rivers to connect the green spaces of "five rivers and ten parks" into a piece, realizing "viewing chaoyang from a greenway".

chaoyang district has created a series of distinctive park landscapes with the brand of "one park, one flower, one product". from the wild flower fields of aoyuan to the sea of zinnias in chaoyang park, to the magnificent scenery of crabapples in yuandadu park, each one is fascinating. in the next step, chaoyang district will continue to promote the construction of "one park, one flower, one product" in green barrier parks to enhance the landscape characteristics.
at the same time, chaoyang district is also actively promoting the construction of characteristic landscape roads with the brand of "one road, one flower, one leaf". the red locust trees planted on both sides of shuangqiao east road and changying middle street around the east campus of chaoyang hospital look like the "red cross" logo from the air, which is both beautiful and meaningful. around alibaba's headquarters in the north district of electronics city, the magnolia on guangshan east road adds a touch of bright autumn color to the city with its unique autumn leaf landscape. in 2023, chaoyang district implemented a total of 15 characteristic landscape road projects. in the next step, chaoyang district will plan the construction of the east fourth ring green corridor and the jingmi road characteristic landscape corridor.
this year, chaoyang district's urban gallery and garden block projects will be promoted in a coordinated manner, with the ritan and gongti areas as the focus, and efforts will be made to create garden-style blocks. recently, the garden-style blocks around ritan park have been basically completed, adopting the "open sharing" design method, through the retreat of the ritan park fence, the gardening of the municipal sidewalks and other measures, to achieve a seamless connection between the streetscape and the park, and create a garden city landscape of "the city in the scenery and the scenery in the city". this year, chaoyang district plans to implement 10 urban galleries, including gongti east road, ritan road, and guanghua road. in the next step, garden-style blocks and urban galleries will be built in 9 key areas, including liangma river, beixiao river, cbd, sanlitun international consumer area, and olympic center area.
