red star news reporter noted that on september 3, the yanjin county public security bureau issued a "notice on public collection of clues of cases suspected of fraud by qiao and chen", stating that in july this year, the yanjin county public security bureau cracked a case of impersonating a traffic police officer to commit fraud and arrested the criminal suspects qiao and chen. qiao, male, was born in october 2003, from dengtai village, shimen village committee, dousha town, yanjin county; chen, male, was born in march 2002, from tianwan village, wangu village committee, dousha town, yanjin county.

the yanjin county public security bureau found out that on july 2 this year, the suspects qiao and chen drove a white pickup truck (license plate number: yun c qy618) to the dashaba highway in lijiawan, zhonghe town, yanjin county, pretending to be traffic police to "check cars"; on july 4, 2024, the suspects qiao and chen drove a white pickup truck to the traffic light intersection of shuitianba, yanjin county, and the mahuangshe fork in gaoqiao village to "check cars". during this period, when the two passed the huanggetao sewage treatment plant highway, they saw an unlicensed two-wheeled motorcycle (with three men on the motorcycle) being driven, and qiao and chen drove a white pickup truck to chase the motorcycle. when they chased to huangmaozui highway, the three men abandoned the car and fled, and then qiao and chen took the motorcycle for themselves.

the yanjin county public security bureau’s notice stated: “in order to thoroughly investigate all criminal facts of qiao and chen, crack down on illegal and criminal acts in accordance with the law, and collect and fix evidence extensively, we are now soliciting clues about qiao and chen’s illegal and criminal acts from all walks of life. citizens who were deceived by qiao and chen, as well as the three men who abandoned their car and fled, please contact the public security organs in a timely manner and cooperate with the investigation to effectively safeguard their own rights and interests.”

after the incident, qiao and chen were criminally detained by the yanjin county public security bureau in accordance with the law, and have now been transferred for review and prosecution.
