in the dialogue on the theme of low-altitude economy, xue peng, vice president of ehang intelligent equipment (guangzhou) co., ltd., pointed out that there are four key points in the future work of low-altitude economy, namely the construction of a comprehensive drone laboratory, the construction of airworthiness certification capabilities and operational certification capabilities, infrastructure construction, and support system construction. this view was recognized by the guests present. xue peng believes that the current development of the domestic low-altitude economy has obvious regional characteristics, among which guangzhou's low-altitude economy has significant industrial characteristics, such as the fields of agricultural plant protection and vertical travel, and the matching of talents and supply chains is very mature.
in july this year, ehang's application for an operating certificate for its intelligent unmanned manned aircraft was accepted by the civil aviation administration of china. xue peng said that he is optimistic that the operating certificate can be obtained this year, making "air taxis" a reality. "in the future, people can choose an 'air taxi' by clicking on a mobile phone app, just like choosing an online car-hailing service."
