at the 2024 beijing cultural forum, the beijing municipal youth league committee recruited and selected 615 volunteers from 15 universities including peking university, tsinghua university, and beijing foreign studies university, and the fengtai district youth league committee to carry out voluntary services such as comprehensive coordination, information consultation, venue support, and on-board guidance to ensure the smooth progress of various activities.

the beijing cultural forum is a national and international forum, and an important window for building cultural bridges, deepening exchanges and dialogues, and promoting cultural cooperation. volunteers actively practice the volunteer spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress", and while providing enthusiastic, professional, and thoughtful services to guests from various countries, they convey the "beijing temperature" to the world with practical actions, and continue to polish the "golden business card" of volunteer services in the capital.

at this beijing cultural forum, 615 volunteers were distributed in 105 posts in 9 districts including dongcheng, xicheng and tongzhou, carrying out volunteer services such as comprehensive coordination, information consultation, venue support and on-board guidance. in dongcheng district, 330 volunteers were distributed in volunteer service posts such as beijing international hotel and conference center, haoyuan jianguo hotel and capital hotel. before taking up their posts, the volunteers conducted on-site surveys in advance in order to better provide services to chinese and foreign guests.

wang zhe, a student from beijing technology and business university, participated in the cultural forum volunteer service for the second time. his post this year involves three locations, including parking lots, meeting rooms, and intersections. during the cultural forum, beijing was hit by rainy weather. wang zhe and mobile volunteers took umbrellas to the service desk in advance, saving guests time to attend the meeting. although being a volunteer is hard, he feels it is very meaningful. "i feel very proud to be a volunteer," said wang zhe.

in haidian district, 37 volunteers are responsible for the service and support of 9 salon activities and 1 observation route, and the volunteer positions are relatively scattered. as the volunteer leader of beijing language and culture university, lei xianda not only has to do a good job in volunteer service in his own position, but also has to be a "volunteer" of volunteers and make overall arrangements for various positions. "the work is more difficult and challenging, but it also exercises my organizational coordination and communication skills, and i feel very rewarding," he said.

walking into the main hall of the beijing grand canal museum, the first thing that caught my eye was the enthusiastic smiles of the volunteers. as the "face" of the grand canal museum, volunteer meng chengcheng from beijing finance and trade vocational college always greeted the guests with a full spirit. "when i heard the foreign guests trying hard to say 'thank you' to us in chinese, i felt that all my efforts were worth it."
