on the evening of september 20, the tianxin branch of the changsha public security bureau issued a police report: at 9:31 am on september 19, 2024, the tianxin branch of the changsha public security bureau received a report that three people fell to their deaths from the 13th floor of building 2, no. 1, chengnan west road, tianxin district. the public security agency quickly set up a special case team to fully investigate the case.

preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, liu moujie, female, 58 years old, was from lianyuan, hunan province and lived in room 13xx, building 2, no. 1 chengnan west road.

the suspect, jiang mouhui, male, 31 years old, registered in wukou town, pingjiang county, hunan province, is a legal person and shareholder of pingjiang county tianhao industrial co., ltd.from 2019 to 2022, he engaged in furniture business in other provinces. during this period, he traveled to macau for gambling many times and owed debts of more than 12 million yuan.

the suspect jiang is a 35-year-old male, registered in wukou town, pingjiang county, hunan province.

after reviewing surveillance videos and questioning witnesses, we have initially found that:

• at 14:57 on september 18, criminal suspects jiang mouhui and jiang mou entered the no. 1 chengnan west road community to scout the area.
• at 0:27 a.m. on the 19th, jiang mouhui and jiang mou left the residential complex and spent the night in the stairwell on the top floor of a hotel opposite the residential complex.
• at 6:49 and 7:07, jiang mouhui and jiang mou entered building 2, no. 1 chengnan west road respectively and waited in the stairwell on the 13th floor.when liu moujie opened the door to leave home, jiang mouhui and jiang mou held him at knifepoint and took him into the room.
• the surrounding video shows,at 9:12, liu moujie and jiang mou fell from the balcony at the same time (there were signs of a struggle on the balcony).
• 9:17,jiang mouhui tied two curtains together and tied them to the window frame in the middle of the balcony. he tried to slide down through the curtains to the 12th floor to escape the scene, but he fell to his death.

after on-site investigation, it was found that the furniture and clothing in liu moujie's home were turned over on a large scale, and two black backpacks left by the suspect were found in the stairwell on the 13th floor. in the backpacks, a colored nylon rope with a hook (about 3 meters), rubber gloves, pliers and other tools used in the crime were found.

after investigation,no connection was found between liu moujie and his family and the two suspects before the incident.the case is under further investigation.
