industrial production is running steadily and new momentum is growing well
from january to august, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in inner mongolia increased by 7.6% year-on-year.
divided into three categories
the added value of the mining industry increased by 5.2% year-on-year, the manufacturing industry increased by 9.9%, and the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 10.8%.
by economic type
the added value of state-controlled enterprises increased by 5.8% year-on-year, joint-stock enterprises increased by 7.8%, foreign-invested enterprises and hong kong, macao and taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 4.3%, and private enterprises increased by 7.9%.
from the perspective of new momentum, the added value of equipment manufacturing increased by 43.5% year-on-year, and the added value of high-tech manufacturing increased by 32.4%, which were 2.2 and 0.3 percentage points faster than those in january-july respectively.
in terms of major products, the output of raw coal was 840 million tons, up 4.2% year-on-year; the power generation was 534.41 billion kwh, up 10.4%. among them, the power generation of new energy was 119.55 billion kwh, up 21.6%; the output of monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon and rare earth compounds increased by 58.8%, 128.2% and 280.4% respectively.
from january to july, industrial enterprises above designated size in the region realized operating income of 1,650.73 billion yuan and total profits of 180.49 billion yuan.

from january to august, inner mongolia's fixed asset investment (excluding farmers) increased by 10.4% year-on-year.

retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas increased by 3.1%, while retail sales of consumer goods in rural areas increased by 4.0%.

catering revenue increased by 9.4%, and retail sales increased by 2.5%. the sales of some basic living commodities increased well, with the retail sales of grain, oil and food above the quota increasing by 19.6%, beverages increasing by 25.1%, and daily necessities increasing by 15.3%. the sales of some upgraded commodities increased rapidly, with the sales of new energy vehicles above the quota increasing by 72.5%, communications equipment increasing by 95.2%, and sports and entertainment products increasing by 66.4%.

consumer prices rose moderately, while the decline in industrial producer prices narrowed
from january to august, the inner mongolia consumer price index (cpi) rose by 0.4%, the same as from january to july. the industrial producer prices fell by 3.8%, 0.4 percentage points lower than from january to july; the industrial producer purchase prices fell by 2.7%, 0.3 percentage points lower than from january to july.
in august, the consumer price index (cpi) in inner mongolia rose by 0.2% year-on-year, the same as the previous month. among them, the consumer price index for urban residents rose by 0.2% and the consumer price index for rural residents rose by 0.3%.
