hualong.com (reporter qin sisi) from august 29 to september 22, the 2024 world roller skating championships was held in italy. in the freestyle roller skating event of this championship, the chinese delegation performed well and won 8 gold, 10 silver and 5 bronze medals. among them, liu jiaxin, a 2022 student from the school of chinese language and culture of sichuan international studies university, shined even more. she won two gold medals for the chinese delegation in the adult women's freestyle slalom and freestyle confrontation events.

liu jiaxin started learning roller skating at the age of 4, and showed a strong interest and talent in roller skating since she was young. she joined the national team at the age of 11 and became chongqing's first roller skating world champion at the age of 12. these achievements not only demonstrate her athletic talent, but also witness her years of hard training and unremitting efforts.

it is worth mentioning that liu jiaxin has not only achieved remarkable results in sports, but also excelled in academics. in 2022, she was admitted to the school of chinese language and culture of sichuan international studies university with excellent academic performance. during her college years, she continued to maintain her love and pursuit of roller skating, using her spare time to train and continuously improve her skills.

she sweats every day on the roller skating field, tirelessly improving her skills, and striving for perfection in every subtle movement. however, the road to success is never smooth. on the eve of the selection for this competition, liu jiaxin accidentally fell during training, causing her tooth roots to loosen and cracks to her teeth. after arriving in italy, she encountered a frightening moment when she lost her passport, which almost made her miss the opportunity to compete.

facing numerous difficulties, liu jiaxin showed extraordinary tenacity and determination. she not only overcame physical pain, but also solved the problems in life with her tenacious will. it was this persistence and hard work that finally allowed her to stand on the stage of the world championships and win two gold medals on behalf of china.

"i feel very proud and honored to represent my country and achieve such results," liu jiaxin said excitedly, with a determined light in her eyes.
