on september 19, the launching ceremony of the 2024 taiyuan sports consumption week was held at the jinyang lake international convention and exhibition center. citizens, tourists and taiyuan marathon runners should not miss it if they pass by, and enjoy sports and shopping together.
sports consumption week is coming
the taiyuan international marathon is about to start, and the sports consumption week will begin.
taiyuan sports consumption week is hosted by the taiyuan municipal government. it aims to create a new consumption scene through the in-depth integration of sports, culture, food and tourism, create a festive atmosphere of mobilization and participation of the whole city, and continuously empower the high-quality development of urban sports.
from september 19th to september 25th, the sports consumption week is themed "fun sports, exciting shopping" and will launch more than ten special activities around the taiyuan marathon at the jinyang lake international convention and exhibition center, including interactive entertainment games, a special food market, and cultural and sports product display and sales.
consumption coupons will be distributed during the sports consumption week. permanent residents of taiyuan, workers and students, tourists, and approximately 120,000 registered runners of the taiyuan marathon can receive them by logging into the "jinxiang sports" mini program on wechat.

on september 19, the 15th taiyuan international marathon in 2024 began distributing competition items at the jinyang lake international convention and exhibition center. after receiving their respective competition items, runners can "pass by" the sports consumption week event site.
the interactive entertainment area of jinyang lake international convention and exhibition center has set up more than 10 fun activities such as ultimate frisbee, table tennis, and shooting masters. runners from all over the world can compare their skills or show their athletic talents and share the joy of sports.
"no matter which event, as long as you 'dare' to participate, they 'dare' to give out prizes." taiyuan runner su chen said, "after playing several events, my bag is filled with a lot of prizes, and the emotional value is full."
an unofficial podium was also set up at the event site - runners could stand on it with their own number plates to receive cheers and take photos. people threw themselves into it, cheering for others one moment and then standing on it to show their faces the next.

in the "fashion market" set up at the jinyang lake international convention and exhibition center, different merchants displayed sports equipment, sports products and sports training courses. coinciding with the sports consumption week, merchants launched various preferential promotions, attracting citizens and runners to "donate generously".
"i saw this pair of shoes in a specialty store before. the original price was over 600 yuan, but today it's 399 yuan," a fellow runner joked. "i have to get them! i'm a 'bad student with lots of stationery'. i'm an average marathon runner, but i have a lot of shoes."
in this sports consumption week promotion, daily necessities such as milk, eggs, and instant noodles also appeared. runners said, "don't miss it if you pass by." we should not only yearn for the rhythm of freedom, but also enjoy the beauty of daily life.
