the incident took place at a residential building in samutprakarn, a suburb of bangkok, thailand. a passing neighbor heard the 64-year-old woman's faint cry for help and called the police at around 10 p.m. rescuers could still hear the woman's faint cry for help when they arrived at the scene, while the house she was in was completely dark.
rescuers then had to break in and found a 4-meter-long, at least 20-kilogram python wrapped around the woman. rescuers found that the woman was still alive, but exhausted and pale.

the report said that she grabbed the python's head and tried to pull it off her body, but she couldn't overcome the python's brute force. after that, she collapsed on the floor of the house, and her body was gradually entangled by the python. she kept trying to break free, but failed. she could only struggle to keep breathing. about two hours later, her cries for help were heard by a passing neighbor.
the woman is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
