during the routine inspection of incoming parcels, beijing customs found 10 suspicious pills hidden in xiao c's package. the next day, when xiao c signed for the parcel, he was caught on the spot by the public security organs. after identification, the suspicious tablets contained 1.11 grams of etizolam, a net weight of which is 1.11 grams. drugs containing this ingredient are generally used for anti-anxiety, and have hypnotic, muscle relaxant and sedative effects. once overdosed, it may cause drowsiness, dizziness and other adverse reactions. as early as 2021, my country has included etizolam in the "supplementary catalogue of controlled non-medicinal narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs", and it is not allowed to be purchased or transported into the country without approval.
