recently, the "alien" series was officially named "alien: earth" and has officially finished filming and entered the post-production stage. the series was written and directed by noah hawley, and produced by "alien's father" ridley scott. it is a prequel to the 1979 "alien". the series is set at the end of this century, 30 years before the "alien" movie. in a recent interview, noah hawley explained why the aliens came to earth in the series, and promised that it would be scary, "it will scare you to lock your door at night."

director noah hawley is very confident about the show and plans to make it into a multi-season series. noah hawley said that letting the aliens come to earth is a very special setting: "you will personally witness an alien appearing in the wilderness of the earth. it is really scary to think that they are here, walking with us. as for the circumstances under which you will encounter aliens, i can't spoil it. you can only wait until the premiere night to find out. by then, you will be so scared that you will lock yourself in."
the series "alien: earth" stars sidney chandler, alex lawther, essie davis, adarsh gourav, sandra e. sencindifer and others, and will be launched on the streaming platform in 2025.
