from september 13 to 15, 2024, the 17th international conference on frontier computer theory and engineering (icacte 2024) was held at the ziyun road campus of anhui jianzhu university, co-organized by anhui jianzhu university and ieee, hosted by the school of electronic and information engineering of anhui jianzhu university, the international exchange and cooperation office of anhui jianzhu university (hong kong, macao and taiwan office) and the science and technology office of anhui jianzhu university, and co-organized by nanjing university of information science and technology.
nearly 200 scholars and researchers from universities and research institutions in countries and regions such as the united states, australia, greece, japan, malaysia, the philippines, thailand, india, and pakistan participated in the conference to exchange and discuss cutting-edge computer theory and engineering topics. the conference was held in a combination of online and offline formats.
in the pre-forum in chinese on the afternoon of september 13, professor qu zhiguo from nanjing university of information science and technology, dr. li jiaqi, vice president of beijing iflytek research institute, and dr. lu xingmin, vice president of ufida xindao technology co., ltd., respectively gave wonderful reports on the topics of "next generation artificial intelligence technology - research on quantum neural network technology", "frontier progress and typical applications of iflytek spark large model", and "application practice of generative artificial intelligence in education", and jointly discussed new applications of artificial intelligence scenarios.
on the morning of september 14, the conference opened. ma wenge, secretary of the party committee of anhui jianzhu university, and professor pan zhigeng, honorary chairman of the conference and dean of the school of artificial intelligence of nanjing university of information science and technology, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. the opening ceremony was hosted by professor yang yalong, vice dean of the school of electronic and information engineering of anhui jianzhu university, and the keynote report of the conference was hosted by professor shi donghui of anhui jianzhu university.

in the keynote speech session, professor lu jie from the university of technology sydney, australia, ieee & ifsa fellow, professor pan zhigeng from the school of artificial intelligence of nanjing university of information science and technology, professor xue feng, vice dean of the school of computer and information of hefei university of technology, and professor jiang bo, vice dean of the school of computer science and technology of anhui university, gave wonderful keynote speeches on the theme of the conference.
the conference lasted for 3 days. in addition to the pre-chinese forum and keynote reports, there were 4 offline parallel theme sessions, 4 special invited reports, and 4 online parallel theme sessions. experts and scholars at the conference conducted in-depth discussions on cutting-edge fields such as "vision-based intelligent detection and algorithms", "modern communication systems and signal analysis", "image analysis and intelligent systems", and "computer modeling and system analysis".
