associate professor zhang qile was born on september 14, 1987 in chongqing. he studied at sichuan wenjiang middle school from september 1999 to june 2005, and studied at the school of applied law of southwest university of political science and law from september 2005 to june 2009, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in law. from september 2009 to june 2012, he studied at the school of administrative law of southwest university of political science and law, majoring in legal theory, where he obtained a master's degree in law. from september 2012 to june 2015, he studied at the school of administrative law of southwest university of political science and law, majoring in legal theory, where he obtained a doctorate degree in law.

associate professor zhang qile has worked at the human rights institute of southwest university of political science and law (national human rights education and training base) since july 2015. he was promoted to master's supervisor in july 2019 and to associate professor in december 2022. he has served as the director of the center for non-traditional security and human rights research of the human rights institute of southwest university of political science and law and a distinguished researcher at the center for comparative research on civil society and rule of law development of east china university of political science and law.

associate professor zhang qile is engaged in research in multiple fields including jurisprudence, legal sociology and human rights law. he focuses on the protection of the rights and interests of specific groups such as women, children and people with disabilities. he has published many articles in journals such as modern jurisprudence, guangming daily and china social sciences daily. he participated in the writing of many books such as human rights knowledge - reader on the rights of the elderly, jurisprudence lectures and lintong petitions. he has presided over and conducted research on more than ten scientific research projects and participated in the drafting of many national human rights documents.

associate professor zhang qile loves education and teaching. he teaches many professional courses, including "introduction to human rights", "principles of human rights", "social organizations and human rights", "human rights and national security", "gender and law", etc. he actively promotes the construction of the human rights law discipline, carefully guides students in their studies, and organizes students to carry out human rights education and practical activities many times. he is deeply loved by students and was awarded the honorary title of "good teacher of xi'an jiaotong-liverpool university" in september 2022.

associate professor zhang qile actively participates in practical activities on human rights protection and rule of law construction. he participated in the establishment of chongqing yige social development promotion center and served as its vice president. he promoted the center to obtain special consultative status from the united nations economic and social council and participated in relevant meetings and activities of the united nations human rights council many times. he has made positive contributions in the fields of women’s and children’s rights protection, urban and rural sustainable development, and the construction of human rights and rule of law concepts.
