on september 16, chen binbin, a contestant from hangzhou technician college, won the first prize in the automotive painting competition of the 47th worldskills competition in lyon, france.

the worldskills competition is known as the "skills olympics". the 47th worldskills competition's automotive painting project includes eight modules with a total time limit of 16 hours. a total of 23 contestants from 23 countries and regions participated, including many strong contestants.

compared with previous worldskills competitions, this year's competition has added two modules, but the competition duration remains the same, which will pose a greater challenge to the contestants. despite the increased difficulty and fierce competition, chen binbin remained calm and worked diligently, and successfully completed all the items of the competition with his good physical fitness, strong stress resistance, and excellent technical level.

chen binbin was born in 2002. he entered hangzhou technician college in 2018 and stayed at the school to teach in 2020, becoming a professional teacher at the school of plastic coating and design of hangzhou technician college. during his time at school, he won honors including national technical expert, national youth job expert, zhejiang province youth craftsman, hangzhou youth job expert, and hangzhou c-class talent.
