on september 13, the largest double-jib luffing crane vessel in china, "erhang excellence", invested by cccc second harbor engineering bureau and built by shanghai zhenhua heavy industries, was successfully completed. representatives from cccc second harbor engineering bureau, nantong maritime safety administration, china classification society and shanghai zhenhua heavy industries held a completion witnessing ceremony at nantong zhenhua qidong offshore engineering base, marking that the ship is close to its delivery date.
the ship was started to be built on august 14, 2023, the hull was put into dock in december 2023, and it was put into jishui on june 6, 2024. the installation and commissioning of the lifting equipment was completed in early september 2024. the hull is 165 meters long, 52 meters wide, 11 meters deep, with a designed draft of 6.5 meters, a maximum lifting capacity of 5,500 tons, and a maximum lifting height of 120 meters, which is equivalent to being able to lift 4,000 cars to the height of a 40-story building in one fell swoop. in addition, in response to the national dual-carbon strategy, the ship adopts green energy-saving technologies such as photovoltaic energy storage and high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, and develops and applies intelligent operation and maintenance and operation management systems.
the completion of the ship by four parties is the completion of the ship within the scope of the maritime administration's legal inspection, and is an important proof for obtaining the nationality certificate and ownership certificate. after the ship is put into operation, it will focus on serving the construction of bridge projects, covering hydraulic engineering projects, taking into account offshore wind power, and comprehensively improving the prefabrication and assembly installation capabilities of the super-large span bridges of cccc second navigation engineering bureau.
