the motocross world championship originated in the uk and is the world's highest-level off-road motorcycle event. in 2019, the motocross world championship landed in china for the first time. from september 14 to 16 this year, the motocross world championship shanghai station was held at the shanghai international off-road circuit (fengxian district).
"after the fierce competition in the previous station in turkey, the racing cars and related materials need to be quickly transferred to shanghai. from entry into the port to the smooth acceptance and use by the participating teams, the entire process is time-sensitive and has heavy tasks. the competition materials circulate quickly and require efficient customs clearance. this requires the customs to take efficient and convenient measures to speed up the customs clearance of materials while ensuring strict supervision." said qiu shuhong, deputy director of fengxian customs.
to ensure the smooth progress of the event, fengxian customs relied on the "xianguanqihui" customs-enterprise exchange platform to communicate and coordinate with the event organizers, logistics parties, and customs declaration companies in advance; combined the actual entry and exit of materials with special needs, the characteristics of international routes, and the setting of the competition venue to refine personalized supervision plans, and formulate a work guide for customs supervision of the event; from policy guidance to convenient customs clearance, the key steps of import customs clearance, inspection, and re-export of event materials were straightened out, the "goods awaiting inspection" mode was changed, and the "active reception of goods" strategy was implemented to ensure that "people move with goods" and "goods are inspected as soon as they arrive"; at the same time, the event coincided with the mid-autumn festival holiday. fengxian customs judged the work intensity based on the volume of event materials, comprehensively considered rotation and emergency response, insisted on scientific and efficient, distinguished between on-the-job and standby work modes, and completed the allocation of personnel and job positioning for all-weather supervision of the entire process of the event.
