xinhua news agency, harare, september 14 (reporter xu zheng) accra news: the handover ceremony of the china-aided ghana fishing port comprehensive facilities project was held in accra, the capital of ghana on the 13th. the project will greatly improve the working and living environment of local fishermen and promote ghana's economic and social development.
according to the contractor china railway construction ports and waterway bureau group co., ltd., the project started in august 2020 and took four years to build the fishing port water basin, channel dredging project, as well as office buildings, trading markets, processing areas, storage areas and other related production and supporting facilities. it is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs locally.
