xu hong, a representative of the 14th national people's congress elected by jiangxi province and former deputy secretary of the xinyu municipal committee and mayor of jiangxi province, has proposed to resign from his position as a representative of the 14th national people's congress due to his primary leadership responsibility for the "1.24" extremely serious fire accident in xinyu, jiangxi province and the acquisition of qixin shares by xinyu holding group. on july 25, 2024, the 10th meeting of the standing committee of the 14th people's congress of jiangxi province decided to accept xu hong's resignation as a representative of the 14th national people's congress. in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law of the people's republic of china on deputies to the national people's congress and local people's congresses at all levels, xu hong's representative qualifications have been terminated.
