on september 13, a series of eu consumer product safety exchange activities were held in qingdao, jointly sponsored by the standardization and law center of the general administration of customs and the china-eu consumer product safety enhancement project, and co-organized by qingdao customs, qingdao port office, and qingdao municipal bureau of commerce. the exchange focused on qingdao's main export consumer products, such as electronic appliances, textiles and clothing, and carried out lectures and exchanges in a synchronized "online + offline" manner around eu market supervision, e-commerce, and product regulatory requirements.
it is reported that in order to implement the relevant work arrangements of the "action plan on safety of non-food consumer products sold online by the general administration of customs of the people's republic of china and the directorate-general for justice and consumers of the european commission", the standardization and law center of the general administration of customs and the german agency for international cooperation have signed a memorandum of cooperation on the china-eu consumer product safety enhancement project as an outcome of the 8th china-us-eu trilateral ministerial meeting on consumer product safety.
the purpose of this exchange activity is to introduce the compliance policies of relevant eu products to enterprises and continuously enhance the compliance management capabilities of production enterprises. more than 140 representatives from more than 130 consumer goods industries and import and export companies in qingdao participated on site, and more than 100,000 people watched the live broadcast online simultaneously.
