wu zhendou introduced that chinese medicine has played its advantages of diversified values, integrated into the joint construction of the belt and road initiative with high quality, led the development of traditional medicine around the world, and made positive contributions to promoting the building of a human health community. looking around the world, the construction of 30 overseas chinese medicine centers has promoted the international promotion of chinese medicine technology and the overseas dissemination of chinese medicine culture, and played a demonstrative role in the development of traditional medicine in the world.

focusing on the domestic market, by the end of 2023, there will be 93,000 tcm medical institutions in china, 1.732 million beds in tcm medical institutions, and 1.54 billion tcm consultations and treatments, including 1.06 billion tcm medical institutions. in 2023, the total operating income of tcm will reach 709.52 billion yuan, accounting for about a quarter of the total global pharmaceutical industry. it will also support the construction of 31 national tcm service export bases and a number of international cooperation bases, pragmatically promote tcm service trade, and improve the level of facilitation.
