on september 13, bijie liangcai school organized an 18-year-old coming-of-age ceremony for senior high school students and their parents to celebrate the students' formal entry into adulthood and to educate them to assume the responsibilities and obligations of adults.
at 9 a.m., with the solemn national anthem, the coming-of-age ceremony officially kicked off. the school principal zhang mingchao delivered an enthusiastic speech, encouraging students to be brave and proactive, and to practice the core socialist values with practical actions. senior grade 3 director xiong junfeng and parent and student representatives also spoke, expressing their earnest expectations and firm confidence in their classmates.
at the age of 18, we set out to fulfill our responsibilities. at the capping ceremony, the school specially issued the constitution to student representatives, marking the students' official journey to adulthood.
afterwards, parents put on adult hats for their children and accompanied them through the "adult door" symbolizing adulthood, implying that they have grown up and are about to start a new journey in life. in the following session, the students performed a variety of artistic performances, including poetry recitation, dance, chorus, etc., showing their youthful vitality and artistic talent.
finally, in each classroom, the collective birthday celebration was full of warmth. the chinese and english versions of "happy birthday" and "my lifelong love to you" were played on loop in the classroom. the students shared the joy of growing up together and felt the warmth of the group.
