zuoyun county is located in the loess plateau in the northern part of the great wall. it has a profound historical and cultural heritage, spectacular remains of the great wall, numerous strategic passes, and diverse ethnic groups and cultures. it is known as a "natural great wall museum."

it is reported that the entire section of this race passes through scenic spots such as weilu castle, yuehua pond, baitaizi church ruins, motianling great wall, ninglu castle, and zhenning arrow tower. while riding, one can enjoy the charming scenery of the ancient city outside the great wall and experience the long history and culture.
"this year marks the seventh year that the local area has hosted a large-scale cycling event." luo shibin, secretary of the zuoyun county party committee, hopes that the participating athletes can appreciate the unique charm of the great wall while cycling and experience a different kind of speed and passion.
