on september 11, the china enterprise confederation and the china entrepreneur association released the list of "top 500 chinese enterprises in 2024". a total of 40 enterprises from jiangsu province were shortlisted. among them, wuxi city made the list with 12 enterprises, ranking first in the province. it is understood that this is also the sixth consecutive year that wuxi has won the first place in the total number of enterprises on the list of top 500 enterprises in jiangsu province.

in addition, in the list of "china's top 500 service enterprises" released at the same time, 19 enterprises from wuxi were shortlisted. the total number of shortlisted enterprises in the two lists is 31.

the entry thresholds for the two lists of china's top 500 companies in 2024 are basically the same as last year. a relevant person in charge of the wuxi municipal bureau of industry and information technology said that in order to promote more wuxi companies to enter the top 500 chinese companies and even the top 500 global companies, wuxi city issued the "implementation opinions on further accelerating the cultivation and expansion of market subjects" in 2022, increasing policy support and financial support, and giving a one-time reward of up to 2 million yuan to companies newly added to the top 500 chinese companies, and a maximum reward of 1 million yuan to companies with a significant ranking improvement on the list; a one-time reward of up to 1 million yuan to companies newly added to the top 500 chinese manufacturing companies and the top 500 chinese service companies, and a maximum reward of 500,000 yuan to companies with a significant ranking improvement on the list.
