china news service, beijing, september 12 (reporter chen hang) the 2024 china international fair for trade in services (hereinafter referred to as ciftis) opened in beijing on the 12th and will last until the 16th. the theme of this ciftis is "mutual benefit and sharing of global services". 85 countries and international organizations will hold exhibitions or conferences in the name of national governments or headquarters, and more than 450 fortune 500 companies and industry leaders will participate offline.

this services trade fair is the first national and international large-scale exhibition held in china after the third plenary session of the 20th cpc central committee. it has formed a multi-level activity framework system with the summit as the core, "exhibition + negotiation and promotion + results release" as the main body, and supporting activities as supplements.

in terms of exhibitions, the comprehensive exhibition of this session of the services trade fair is located in the national convention center, with achievement exhibitions, country exhibitions, provincial and municipal exhibitions, hong kong, macao and taiwan exhibitions, and theme areas, focusing on displaying new achievements and trends in the development of service trade. the special exhibition is located in the shougang park, with 9 special topics such as telecommunications, computer and information services, financial services, and cultural and tourism services. focusing on cultivating and developing new quality productivity, it showcases the latest achievements, technologies and applications in the digitalization, intelligence and green development of service trade, creating a "first show" in the field of global service trade.

during this session of the ciftis, 13 countries and international organizations, including france, portugal, and nigeria, set up independent offline exhibitions for the first time. france, which served as the guest country of honor at the ciftis this year, set up a french pavilion at the ciftis for the first time. ten well-known french companies, including axa, l'oréal, and schneider electronics, participated in the exhibition at the french pavilion and conducted pragmatic negotiations with exhibitors. during the conference, france will also hold three conferences on themes such as investment, sports, and medical care.

in terms of results release, this year's ciie will set up offline and online release halls, and will host launch events, authoritative releases, service demonstration case releases and other activities. it will successively release more than 200 integrated innovation results such as the world's first artificial intelligence orthopedic surgical robot, providing exhibitors with the latest industry dynamics and development trends.

since 2012, the ciftis has been successfully held for ten sessions, with its global reputation and international influence continuously increasing. it has attracted more than 900,000 exhibitors from 197 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition and conference, becoming an important platform for deepening international cooperation in trade in services.
