the super typhoon "makar" caused serious damage to transportation, power supply, communication and other infrastructure in some areas of hainan. among them, the cross-sea interconnection line connecting the main grid of the state grid corporation of china and the hainan power grid was suspended.
in response to hainan, where power facilities were severely damaged, the state grid corporation of china coordinated the deployment of manpower and material resources from guangdong, guangxi, yunnan and guizhou to provide cross-sea assistance, and worked in coordination with the power repair teams on the island. a total of 26,500 power repair personnel carrying 1,275 sets of emergency power generation equipment were working on the front line of hainan's emergency repair and power restoration.
after 80 hours of continuous work day and night, at 00:33 on september 11, the 500 kv fushan substation equipment was closed and energized, marking the resumption of operation of the 500 kv fuxu b line. the hainan power grid officially resumed its connection with the main grid of the state grid corporation of china, further ensuring the safety and stability of the hainan power grid and supporting the province's full power restoration as soon as possible.
however, due to the different severity of damage to power facilities in various parts of hainan and the different difficulties in emergency repairs, the time for power restoration varies. at present, five cities and counties including sanya, lingshui, wanning, baoting and dongfang have all restored power, and emergency repair and power restoration work in the hardest-hit areas of haikou, wenchang and chengmai is being accelerated.
it is understood that the super typhoon "makar" caused serious damage to power grid facilities in hainan and parts of guangdong. in order to cope with the impact of "makar", as of 16:00 on september 11, china southern power grid company has deployed more than 48,000 repair personnel, 13,829 repair vehicles, 1,788 emergency power generation vehicles, and 1,801 emergency generators to carry out emergency repair and power restoration work in a race against time.
