on september 11, the discipline inspection and supervision commission of baicheng city, jilin province announced that xi yanhua, the former second-level inspector of the jilin provincial department of civil affairs, was suspected of serious violations of law and was under the jurisdiction of the jilin provincial supervision commission. he is currently under supervision and investigation by the baicheng city supervision commission.

xi yanhua has served as director of the regulations department and the social affairs department of the jilin provincial department of civil affairs.

in february 2020, the jilin provincial department of civil affairs issued a job adjustment notice: xi yanhua was transferred to work in the department office.

two days before xi yanhua was brought down, on september 9, the jilin provincial party committee’s inspection work leading group held a mobilization and deployment meeting for the fifth round of inspections of the 12th provincial party committee.

with the approval of the jilin provincial party committee, the fifth round of inspections by the 12th provincial party committee conducted a "follow-up inspection" of the party committees of three departments, namely the provincial department of civil affairs, the provincial bureau of statistics, and the provincial social insurance administration bureau.

qiao heng was formerly deputy director of the jilin provincial forestry department and mayor of tonghua city. at the end of 2016, he became the party secretary and director of the provincial civil affairs department.
